Distance Sensor

Hi, I need a distance sensing function to be able to detect if my car is in the garage or not. My plan is to mount it above the car in the garage port opening motor box. So the functionality will be: Less distance than 1 meter = CAR IN GARAGE, more distance than 1 meter = CAR IS OUT.

Do you have solutions? Maybe I can use Shelly 1 with add on module or Shelly UNI and then add some distance sensor?
