Shelly BLE Debug App: no button to set the timezone offset for the BLU H&T device (without display)

  • Hello,

I want to adjust the tmezone offset for my BLU H&T device via the Shelly BLE Debug App on Android, bit there is no UTC (60 min) bitton I have seen in other posts. I only have: Unpair, Read, Reset, OTA, Encrypt and Mass OTA.

Any idea, how I can set the correct timezone for my BLU H&T device?

    Regards,

    Gerd

  • Hello Gerd,

As far as I know, the Shelly BLU H&T (without display) doesn't have an internal clock.

The 'UTC Offset' button you saw in other posts only appears for the Display version of the device, because that model needs to show the local time on its screen.

Since your device has no display, it simply sends 'raw' sensor data (temperature/humidity) without a timestamp. The correct time is added later by your Gateway (e.g., a Shelly Plus or Pro device) when it receives the Bluetooth signal.

So, don't worry: your app isn't missing a feature; the button is just not included because your specific model doesn't need it.

    Best regards

  • As far as I know, the Shelly BLU H&T (without display) doesn't have an internal clock.

I also do think there is no "time" at all with Shelly BLU H&T-Devices

Verwendung wenn möglich von Off-Cloud-Geräten wie Shelly (Cover, H&T, ...), NUOS Tasmota, Velux, Nuki, Ecowitt (Weatherstation), aber auch Cloud-Geräten wie Anker Solix (BKW), Husquarna (Rasenmäherroboter) und Roborock (Staubsaugerroboter).
Alles zentral gesteuert durch Home Assistant.

  • There is a time label on top in the detail view on the right side, see attachments.

The time for the BLU H&T is 1 hour behind, the time of the Bluettoth Gateway Shelly 1 Gen 4 is correct. All other of my Shelly devices are correct too.

This means, that the timeline of the diagrams for my BLU H&T are incorrect.

  • Thank you for the screenshots! Now I see the problem. In your first image, the app shows a note at the bottom: 'Lokale Zeitzone dieses Sensors: Europe/Berlin 16:15 (-1h aus...)'.

Even though the BLU H&T doesn't have its own clock hardware, the Shelly Smart Control App/Cloud assigns a location and timezone to every single device in your list. It seems that for this specific sensor, the timezone or the Daylight Saving Time (DST) offset is set incorrectly in the cloud settings.

To fix this, please try the following in the Shelly Smart Control App (not the Debug App):

    1. Open the settings for your BLU H&T - 02 - Kühlbox.
    2. Go to Settings -> Location and Timezone.
    3. Check if 'Automatic Timezone' is enabled. If it is, try to disable it and set it manually to 'Europe/Berlin' to see if the offset changes.
    4. Also, ensure the 'Latitude' and 'Longitude' are correctly set for this device (usually by clicking 'Detect' via your smartphone's GPS).

The app uses these specific device settings to render the diagram timeline, which explains why it differs from your Gateway's time.

    Best regards
