Man kann auch den Shelly 2 .5 problemlos mit einer Gleichspannung von 12V DC versorgen

Das wurde ja schon mehrfach an verschiedenen Shellys getestet.

Viele nutzen den gleichen/ähnlichen Schaltregler für die Spannungsversorgung an 24V DC oder 230V.

Ebenso sind häufig 12V Relais zum Schalten verbaut, so auch im 2.5.

Das Gehäuse ist leider recht "voll" und eine kl. Diode als Verpolungsschutz passt da nicht mehr rein.

Please be aware that voltage, current and power measurements a not working with DC supply. And the two relay contacts are bound to GND.

Indeed, it will not work with 12V DC without modification. But with 24V DC, it will work out of the shelf. Without power measurements, as described above. Plus 24V is connected at pin N, GND/minus at pin L…
