Using Shelly 3EM with three phase source

  • Dear Shelly Community,

I've searched the forum and web extensively but haven't found a solution to my Shelly 3EM issue.

    Setup:

    • Shelly 3EM installed on a three-phase source powering a three-phase motor.
    • Shelly reports line-to-neutral voltages but not phase-to-phase (RY, YB, BR).
    • Wattage readings differ from clamp meter measurements.

    Query:

    1. Can Shelly 3EM display phase-to-phase voltages (RY, YB, BR)?
    2. Would displaying phase-to-phase voltages resolve the wattage discrepancy?

    Thank you for your assistance.

    Sincerely,

    Museec

  • Welcome to the forum!

Can Shelly 3EM display phase-to-phase voltages (RY, YB, BR)?

No. This is the first time somebody asked this!

Would displaying phase-to-phase voltages resolve the wattage discrepancy?

No. This issue (netting of energy) has to be solved with a higher level home automation system.

  • Dear Mr./Ms. Thgoebel,

Thank you for your response and taking the time to assist me.

After further consideration, I believe this unit might not be the best fit for my specific needs.

Thank you again for your help.

    Sincerely,
