Firmware modification

Hello,
I would like to ask if is possible to make a new modification of firmware of TRV device.

We use around 125 these devices in the hotel which are pernamently connected to the charger. We use own application to communicate with them via API.

It works great. But we have a such problem when the battery of device is full.It stops to send us that "charger is connected". We use this status for a checking
that anybody steal that device. We thought that device send this status continuously when a cabel connected. And second thing, can be display turned off after while when
battery is fully charged?
