• Hi,

I have an sliding gate actuated by a motor with Nice control unit RBA3R10. What can I use from Shelly so I can open and close the gate using internet?

I found on internet a solution if you have a port NN but I do not have that one.

    Thanks.

  • Welcome to the forum!

You’ll have to replace (or to shunt) the two buttons for “open” and “close” with two Shelly plus 1 or one Shelly UNi:

In most cases it is not possible to take the supply voltage for the Shelly from the control unit, due to insufficient current source. Thus, it would be better to use two Shelly plus 1, which can be supplied from mains voltage.

An appropriate diagram is to be found in the lexicon area of this forum, showing one of the two circuits:

  • Hi

    Thanks for your feedback.

I attached the way control unit is connected now.

I can get power for shelly plus 1 before the control unit. Where should I go with 0/1 from shelly output?

One small note if is important. I use reflective Nice EPMOR not Photocell Nice ERA M EPMB on wire.

Can i use Shelly plus 1 Mini. I have one not in use.

  • As shown in the diagram of the RBS3, you’ll have to shunt the pins „open“ with Shelly pins I and O. And the other Shelly pins I and O have to be connected to pins „close“.
