Use probes / clamps for current above 120A

  • Gentlemen,

I ended up with an expected 3-phase current potentially above 120A at peak and I would like to still use the 3EM device that I purchased to monitor power consumption / production. While I understand that using my own clamp could void warranty, I still would like to try it at my own risk. Can I swap the probes that came with it with probe that supports 200A (so I err on the safe side)?

    Thanks a lot,

Because an issue encountered with the 120A current clamps of Shelly 3EM, I’m curious if you got plausible data for current higher then approximately 60A? Issue is an overload situation at the current inputs of the device. This may be amended by adding certain burden resistors and setting “range extension” in the settings.
