Connectung Shelly Dimmer 2 to exhaust fan via prado push button. Click turn fan on and imidiately off.

HI.

I am trying to connect the exhaust fan to Prado push button via Shelly Dimmer 2.

It works from the Shelly app interface, but if I click the button, it switches the fan on and immediately off.

I would assume that pressing the button produces 2 signals.

What can I do from the shelly side to fix the situation?

Would strictly recommend to observe the warning note in the manual of Shelly Dimmer2 (red box):

Thanks, I will keep this in mind.
But what about the push button problem?
I have it wherever I connect a fan or lightbulb.

Looks like it's ok to turn it on and of, but not change the speed. And that's what I need. Turn it on and off.

Ok, let’s talk about light bulbs…

The Prado button needs electrical power to operate. Thus, it must be connected between mains supply and consumer load. Unfortunately, pin SW of Shelly Dimmer2 (at which one line of the Prado is connected) delivers not enough energy. This is why the circuit will not work.

Would recommend to use a relay/contactor with 230V AC coil and a NO contact. The coil is connected at Prado pin and neutral; the contact between live and pin SW of Shelly Dimmer2.
