  • Hi everyone :)

after looking around the internet for quite a while and not finding anyone with that exact question, let me ask myself.

i installed a pro3em yesterday at my new place and the measuring works as intended - verified the cabling etc.

Wattage looks good, amps and voltage all fine.

however - the power factor shows negative on 2 of the phases. This sounds strange to me as there is no large motors etc connected to them constantly. On one of the phases, my washing machine is connected and it goes straight to -1 power factor when its running.

i've verified the direction of the clamps (also, power etc is shown correctly positive).

am i missing something? is this intended? my expectation would be a power factor >.8 on all phases.

thanks in advance for any insight.

  • Welcome to the forum!

To your issue: It is a bug in the firmware! Will hopefully be amended soon…

  • Yes I've just installed the same device and seeing a negative PF on each of the three phases.

update to 1.0.0-beta1 over WEB-UI and observe ;-)
