  • Hi,

I realize my home is powered from a 3X230 Volts network, but only 2 phases available inside my home (no neutral, 2 live wires = 230 Volts)

How am I supposed to connect the Shelly EM in order to measure a single device ?

    L1 on N connector and L2 on L ?

    Then clamp (P1- & P1+ connectors) around L2 wire ?

Thank you in advance for confirming this . :)

  • Welcome to the forum!

You live in Belgium or Norway? Some threads in Shelly 3EM sub-forum deal with this issue. In fact, you’ll have to declare one of the two phases as “neutral substitute”. This is allowed if you don’t use electrical devices supplied with 120V AC. O sorry, you wrote “no neutral” - hence, this case doesn’t exist…

    Thus, your approach is valid:

    L1 on N connector and L2 on L ?

    Then clamp (P1- & P1+ connectors) around L2 wire ?

    Right!

  • I live indeed in Belgium, one of this old street still supplied in 3x230V and not 3x380V+N. indeed the goal here is to measure with a Shelly EM consumption of a classical device so using 2 live phases making 230V.
