Your wiring diagram is wrong!
In the (rare) case you don’t want to change your wiring, you may use this diagram:
But you will need a Shelly 1L and - if your lights have a wattage of less than 20W - an additional Shelly Bypass. Please be aware that live potential is connected to pin O of Shelly 1L and the lamp wire to pin L! This is correct and was tested. The bypass should be wired in parallel to the lights (perhaps in the ceiling rose)…

Thanks for the input! The diagram itself is correct. I have also attached a picture of the wiring behind one of the switches (both wried in the same way). I have checked using a screw driver tester as I've flipped in the switches (on on, on off, off on, off off).
Any suggestions on if it's possible to wire a Shelly 1 given the set up?
Looking at your link, the economical two way switch looks the "closest". The way I understand it, is taking the output (black wire in my case) from one of the switches to a Wago. Then adding 2 wires to the same wago, one back to the swtich again, and one to output on the Shelly.
