Shelly 4pro doesn't work with DC inputs

    Doesa anybody know reason why the shelly 4 pro inputs are only Vac (110-230V),

    Vuc (8-230V ac or dc) would be more convenient as a lot of electrical installation are done with buttons that can only carry 24V.

    I would like to try following setup ... but I don't know how isolated the inputs are from the ouputs.

    Does anybody know ?

    Unfortunately, the inputs S1 to S4 of Shelly 4Pro are equipped with 4 resistors 47kOhm each at each input lug. Gives in total about 200kOhms per input terminal.

    This thread describes the situation and a fix - but (a) in German language and (b) for artists in soldering. You MUST be able to solder SMD components! And you will loose warranty!

    Shelly 4Pro with amended resistors will be able to switch with voltages of 9V and above.

    Forgot to say that after changing the input resistors not more than 24V (AC or DC) should be fed into the terminals S1 - S4!

    Already thanks for the updates...

    so we can see they use opto couplers ... so input & output is isolated.

    That's already good news...
    I will think about my next step ... smd soldering ... or put a relay in front.
