I have checked the socket and I find no issues there and it does not get warm when not having the Plug S in between.
So seems like the heat is generated in the Plug S.

Hi,
I have a number of Plug S 2500W to measure my equipment at home.
- Washing machine
- Dryer
- Dishwasher
- Drying Cabinet
- TV/Media set
I had them installed for at least 6 months and yesterday the washing machine plug sent a push, warning for high temperature and turned itself off.
I went over there and it was really hot. I have set the safety limit to 2200W.
After some giggling I managed to unplugged the device and found that it had started to melt the plastic around one of the connectors (see pic).
Is this a faulty device or anyone seen this before? I am not even maxing the device so I was not expecting it to behave this way.
Anyone else seen this? Should I send it in and claim a replacement device?
