Would you please tell us what kind of bulb is used? And did you execute a calibration? Many thanks…

It was 3xGU10 bulbs from IKEA that are LED with 2W each. No, i wanted to do a Firmware update before i executed calibration.

The 2nd Shelly Dimmer has worked without any issues. Along with a firmware update aswell & a calibration with Trailing Edge ( I'm using a neutral wire )

I've asked Shelly Support if they're interested to troubleshoot and see if it could be a faulty batch or anything. But they said no and that i should contact my re-seller. ( imho if a user comes with this kind of information i would definitly as a company taking this serious. This is a hazardous thing.. )

So i've been using Shelly products for some time, both in my house and my newly bought flat. Had different kind of shelly products and there's never been an issue and the wiring is super easy and simple to go after.

So i'm using a Neutral wire. And used this diagram https://shelly-forum.com/index.php?medi…rschaltung-png/ which is the same as they've got in the schematics for the product

Yet this... weirdly thing happened. After having it installed and up & running for around 5 minutes, managed to get into my Shelly Cloud and just in the middle of firmware update it literally BLEW UP. I had a 2nd unit luckily so i swapped it out and used the exact same wiring.. Cause it's the correct one. ( I double checked my other 3 Shelly Dimmer 2 wirings aswell that's currently installed )

But what could've caused this? Isnt there a somekind of protection inside the units or maybe this one was just faulty and something got loose in the shipping?

Attached a picture to show how it looked like after the disaster happened

Also one thing i remember, the unit that exploded was on Firmware 1.7 ( If that is any somehow related )

Hi! So.. i've got a strange problem, it's regarding a 2-way switching i've done or called "Button-Circuit" in the docs for diagrams

    SW2 = Connected to a Garage Indoor lights with a 2-way switch.

SW1 = Connected to my outdoor lights (This works perfectly fine)

But the 2-way switching (2-way physical switches) is weird. There is communication and both can toggle on and off. The issue is that when the State is OFF (In Shelly) . The furthest away switch cant toggle the state to ON or OFF

If i turn the light ON in Shelly, then the furthest away switch work. But even if the lights are turned off by the switch, the Shelly App still shows that the lights are ON. So basicly it feels like my Physical Switches arent communicating with the Shelly app, even if they report proper Power usage and everything like that.

One more thing. If i go to the first physical switch where the 2.5 is installed behind, I can turn the lights on and off, but it doesnt update the state in the Shelly App

EDIT: Did some more testing, the first physical switch can change the state to On & Off both the lights and to Shelly App aswell. But not the 2nd one. If the Shelly App shows State Off then the 2nd Physical Switch wont work

Same thing happens when i try to work with the first switch aswell.

Could it be that SW2 on the Shelly 2.5 doesnt support button circuit? Or did i mess upp my wiring somewhere along the way.

I used this as a diagram, except i've got this setup:
Physical Switch 1 is a Double Switch ( This is where the Shelly 2.5 is installed behind )

Physical Switch 2 is a Single Switch

Seems like the Shelly Dimmer is a little bit buggy. If i turn on the lights through the app the minimum brigthness is correct, i've set it at 13% and it stays like that everytime.

Turning on the lights through the physical wall switch then it also shows 13% in Shelly App also. But the light is incredibly lower than when turning it on through the App instead.

Turning on the light through the Home Assistant Integration it shows the same behaviour as i would turning it on through the Physical Switch.

Some facts: Turning it on through the Shelly App it shows 2.7w on 13% brightness. If i turn on the light through the Physical and Home Assistant it shows 2.4w on 13%

Calibration and everything like that has been done.

So clearly there's a software bugg
