I have the impression it has to do with an extra ( hidden?) character that is save after the userid or after the password :
example: an extra CRLF or hidden character that is saved during the update of the restrict login
or during the input of the URL .
Will try to catch the reason via wireshark analysis

Aha !! I found some extra info ! , now sending commands from shelly I3 is to a shelly 1 is working :
http://192.168.xxx.yyy/relay/0?turn=on&timer=ttt IS WORKING FINE
but but ...
if you implement a "user and password" it seems not to work anymore ... Does somebody else has the same experience ?
http://user:password@192.168.xxx.yyy/relay/0?turn=on&timer=ttt SEEMS NOT WORKING
but using this command via a browser is working fine !!
or is there something else we should look at ? is the software maybe confused because there is a ":" or a "@" in the command ???

is this problem solved ? how could you solve it?
My shelly i3 has still the same problem :"These URL's can't contain the "?" question mark though. It doesn't give an error message if you enter a URL with a "?" in it, but it just silently doesn't call such URL's." even by replacing the "?" with the %3F is not helping?
Any idea what is going wrong ?

Hi I think maybe you have also the same problem as given in other forum entry "SHELLY 1 RECEIVE INPUT FROM SHELLY I3"
if you send the command with a browser the shelly 1 works normal, I mean it reacts on the command
but if you send the same command via the shelly i3 it does not work

I have now this firmware version 20210729-143738_v1.11.3 on the shelly I3 but it still does not work to sent the http://192.168.123.187/relay/0?turn=on&timer=10 comand to shelly 1
although with the browser the shelly 1 reacts and works normal

hello
I have the same problem :
The link works if put in the browser but not via the shelly i3
I even downgraded the FW, but it does not make it better, also the factory reset did nothing.
As there is a new Firmware for the i3 out i flashed it, but no difference. Mayby there is some WiFi stuff, but I did not change anything there.
Therfor I opened a ticket to get an overview of all versions of firmware.. did not got an answer yet.
But really sending the http requst via the shelly I3 is NOT Working !!
, The link works if I put the link in the browser but not via the shelly i3
