Hi. I noticed that consumption is logged every hour. Any chance to have it logged every half an hour or less?
Thanks

Hi everyone.
I’m monitoring my home with EM. #1 clamp for socket, #2 clamp for lights.
I have also 1 Plug S for washer-dryer
Current app config is:
1 room called “HOME” for Shelly EM
1 room called “LIVING ROOM” for Shelly 1 lights
1 room called “BATHROOM” for Plug S
I noticed that that indicated power absorption in EM doesn’t include Plug S… this is a problem because I want to create a scene that disables plug S if TOTAL home absorption is > 3Kw, and enables it again if < 2.5 Kw.
How to do it?
Sorry, sir: You have introduced the word ‘contactor’ in this thread:
And looking at your sketch above, I recognise a 2-pole circuit breaker. This is the gadget I’ve referenced with ‘contactor’. Issue with this part was mentioned as following:
Ok ok, thanks.
Yes, that’s a circuit braker, but it’s supposed to be always on, and upstream the circuit ; the contactor is was referring to, is not drawn in the scheme, because I swapped it with Shelly PM
Caution please: If the contactor is switched off, the Shelly EM doesn’t count energy, because it has no supply anymore!
Which contactor are you referring to? My setup is intended to not to use contactor…
Yes, this is correct. And, by the way, input SW ACTIVATES the relay.
Yes, the output of the Shelly EM may be used to switch Shelly 1PM relay on (or off).
Great! In this way I will have power monitoring of heater without risk of fry/burn the EM (the 2000 Watt will be managed only by Shelly PM). Right?
Just a question:
maybe my doubt rises from a wrong assumption; I assumed that power flows from SW (so, from EM) to Output inside PM.
Am I right or in Shelly PM the energy flows from L to Output (so, SW drives only relay)?
In the second case scenario, would be fine to connect EM Output to PM Switch only to command PM relay, without burning EM (2A max) with 2000 Watt absorption (they will “flow” from L to O in Shelly PM - 16A max).
Is it right??
Thanks
Shelly EM monitors the energy of the heater. Thus, it should be clear if the device is heating, isn’t it?
No. EM will monitor total home consumption and solar panels production. I need a PM to verify that, in a given moment, 2000 Kw absorption is from heater and not from, let’s say, washing machine
Thanks
Scheme attached. I'd need to know if and how physically connect EM to PM. Thanks
Thanks, but I need a second Shelly (1PM) to monitor if the heater is powered and operating or only powered but not operating
Hi. I want to use Shelly EM to monitor power in 2 points and turn on a 2000 Watt heater only if power is less than x. So far, so good. The problem is that Shelly EM shoud be connected to a contactor, and the contactor to heater. I wonder if I can connect the EM to a Shelly 1PM, and the PM to the heater. If so, any help about how to do it? Thanks
I use Shellys in two houses splitting the Shellys into different rooms without any issues. I even use the same static IP addresses in the two houses.
The problem is that if tell Alexa to "turn on kitchen lights", she will turn on kitchens lights in both houses...
Hi.
I have installed 4 shelly in my home to control room lights.
Now I want to do the same in my second home. How can I group these lights in the App to differentiate home 1 and home 2, without having the list as they were lights of a single home?
Thanks
Regards
Alessandro
Good morning everyone!
