    Good morning

The electrician just left. The problem was in one of the gu10 spot as it seems.(short circuit in English I think). We test them one by one and saw that when we connected a particular spot there was a problem and the safety switch in my house was down.

For now we just connected the lights without the shelly dimmer. Now my question is, what kind of safety (I don't know the correct word for this) we should install before Shelly Dimmer in order not to toast the next one. My lights will be dimmable max 25 watt. A safety of 6amper will be good or do I need less?

    1. I mean, if there is a problem what do I need to install before shelly in order to keep it safe?

Do you know our connection diagrams Shelly Dimmer 2?

    2. I haven't seen these, but the electrician followed the basic instructions that were available in the box.

To be honest I am not familiar with the terminology like momentary switch or edge. Now that I see them I see something strange. Above there is the switch we have used. When we test it as I said it was working (one button switch where if I press it once it turns on, with the second press it turns off, and if I keep pressing, it dims the lights from max to min and vise versa). BUT in mind at least we should use the 1st diagram (for momentary switch) and as you can see in the photo below we used both sw1 and sw2. Was that a problem too?

    3. One more problem I can think of is that in the beginning of the installation (with the same connection diagram as my photo we installed a double push switch. When we tested it the first switch opened the light, the second turn it off but we could not dim it. That's why we try with the one button switch and it worked.

Thanks for you help and support so far.

To be honest I very bad with these, that's why I asked for electrician.

    these are the photos below.

I really hope you can understand what is going on because I can't and I would like to show to the electrician what is wrong in order to fix it. I have one more shelly dimmer 2 but I am afraid that it will have problem too.

    Hi all,

my electrician installed today a shelly dimmer 2 to control 6 dimmable gu10 spot (3 watt each). We used one button switch where if I press it once it turns on, with the second press it turns off, and if I keep pushing, it dims the lights. I connected the shelly in my network, updated it, and tested, for a moment. It was working ok. Turned on - off and dimming. The evening though when I turned them on, after 10 minutes the shelly made a "noise" and the lights gone.

edit: I request a calibration and I think it did the calibration. It took 4-5 minutes I think where the lights where turned on and off and (probably dimmed) but I am not sure for the dimming because we installed them in the morning)

The electrician (he has no experience from shelly dimmer) doesn't knows what is wrong. Can someone help please? What could probably went wrong?
