Thanks for the reply, much appreciated.
Your thoughts are what I feared and it seems that Shelly doesn't really have a good interface for this scenario. What's really needed is a simple Shelly Input unit which accepts dry contacts for signalling Shelly relays.
The suggestions to use Shelly Plus 1s would work but it's not ideal. It's a possibility though so I'll give it some further thought and research.
Many thanks again.

I’ve got an odd issue with the firmware on a Shelly Dimmer 2 module. The app says update available but when trying to update says unable. If you compare the versions listed the one loaded looks more recent than the update it’s suggesting.
Any ideas?

Nobody have any information on how to achieve this?

Hi,
I'm looking to use the new Shelly Pro 4PM to switch several LED floodlights and want to trigger the lights from the output of a CCTV NVR which has volt free N/O contact closure outputs which can be set to trigger when an event is detected.
Can anyone advise how this contact closure could be integrated into Shelly to trigger the lights to switch on. I've looked at the Shelly Uni and this had two inputs which might work but would appreciate any input from someone who has setup a similar control system.

So has anyone any suggestions for this setup wiring wise? Can it be done with the Shelly in the second location rather than in the first where there is simply no space for the module.
-
Simple, the first location is full of wiring as it’s a three gang switch controlling three lights. There simply isn’t room behind the first location box. The second location has plenty of space as only has the three core cable.

Hoping someone can help with correct wiring for my setup. I have a two way switched halogen lamp with a three core cable (3 core and earth) between the switches. I want to put the Shelly in location 2 where the lamp connection is not located. Location 1 has the permanent live and switched live to the lamp along with the three core cable to location 2. The switches are standard on/off switches, not momentary.
Is it possible to wire this up successfully with these switches and have the Shelly at location 2? I tried today but could only get one switch to operate the lamp and suspect this might be due to the switches being standard on/off.
