So if I understand correctly the incandescent bulb would allow for the current to flow so it does not start charging the capacitor on the power supply?
I’ll try adding a small incandescent light on the same power line and check if that works.

As many others I’m experiencing some problems with a LED driver that has a soft start circuit. This results in a bright flash of the lamp every few seconds.
I was wondering if it would help to put a 25w resistor in series with my load. I would expect the flickering to subside in off state and a worsened efficiency (by 25w) in on state.
Any opinions on the feasibility of this approach?
