You are right, I’m using HA and mqtt broker, but not HA automations. My automations are build with node-red and in that “filter” can be done with switch node, adding different outputs for each msg.payload value and finally blank where debug node is also good to set to see when those messages are coming
-Teme- Can you export your node red automation?
Or can you explain single steps for do the same?

I had same issue and actually few other devices too. Everything leads to mqtt monitored button and to part of that automation.
Every now and then it send empty “” MQTT message and automation use that as an trigger to toggle lights on/off. Fix was to identify that “” command from button and give task to do nothing.
Since that I haven’t had any problems with dimmer.
Same thing could happen after wifi reconnect and MQTT receive discover message.
-Teme- can you post your code? (I think that you use home assistant with mqtt integration)
I can also confirm that the problem is related to WiFi disconnecting. I'm running a UniFi Wifi Setup (U6-LR and nanoHD).
I can reproduce the problem by clicking 'restart' on the Unifi APs that the Shelly Dimmer are connected to. Sometimes the Shelly Dimmer 2 turns off, sometimes it turns on, based on when they disconnect and reconnect from the WiFi network.
I'm also using Home Assistant, with HA HomeKit Controller and Shelly Cloud: I'm not sure if any of these are contributing to the problem.
quiet are words to waste ... here no one reads and fixes the problems ..
today even with the cloud disabled it happened another time ... I remove this fxxxx dimmer... is not possible .. reliability equal to zero

ok the problem is 100% related at wifi status..i played with wifi connection (drop restart drop), and every time when wifi is down light start to turn on and off until wifi return avaiable..sometimes after wifi reboot light assume correct state (off), sometime remains on......
First question is:
why when wifi turn off all my shellys do nothing while dimmer 2 start to random tunr on and off??
(then it will be understand why sometimes it stays on and other times it returns to its initial or pre-established state)
EDIT:
it seems that in mqtt mode problem not occur (i don't know if is the check on mqtt mode or the cloud automatically disabled that remove this strange bugs...)
tonight turn on another time......now i noticed that probably my router at same time as power on drop wifi and restart and i tryed to reproduce this behavior this morning (restarting router)..the result Is that when router restarted the light wired at dimmer 2 start to turn on and off randomly (systematically) while all other lights connected to shelly 1 and rgb do nothing....
Last week my dimmer 2 switch on by itself in two different day..this big bug in my case appared 5 times from installation day..the only thinks that i noticed Is that random switch on appears always in the night...i think that I'm going to switch to some competitor products
I hope that shelly fix this big problem with a new firmware...and i hope so that isn't a hardware issue...
Ok but if in the app that event there aren't i think that the response of that API will contain the last status before..
however if it happens again I'll try to see
Hi to all, yesterday night i noted a strange behaviour of dimmer 2.
(I have connected dimmer with neutral cable on 230v - italy).
The problem is that during the night the light went on by itself.
Nobody turn on by the app / physical switch /other methods.
The strange thing is that in the app this events don't appears but on home assistant appear like a somebody push physical switch....
What could have happened??

I opened a ticket and thanks to technical support I solved by connecting shelly to the mobile phone via acess point
