Sounds like the bug where the shelly looses its ip and is unreachable...
Only solution I heard of is Tasmota.

Tried your suggestions but none of them work for me. Did you find the magic combination of settings or do we really have to start using alternative firmware?
Welcome to the club! Try downgrading. If I remember correctly version 1.8.x with an fixed ip worked rather ok... it might be that you have to use an even older firmware.
You could use tasmota. Read somewhere that it gave better results...
I'm using MQTT and i use home assistant to controle them. Thanks to the workaround most of the time the shelly's soft-reboot when the connection is lost, but not always. After about 2 weeks the connection is lost without the reboot and it cannot be controlled remotely anymore. Only the hardware switches work.
In my wifi client list(ubiquiti unifi controler) I still see the device, but it does not have an IP address.
I also tested a Shelly with firmware 1.6.0 for about 3 weeks and it did not loose the connection.
Any firmware version after that lost the connection after some hours/days.
Edit: Tried the latest beta(1.10). Didn't last 4 hours...
Thank you for sharing your findings. And I agree that a weak wifi signal could cause problems but the distance between the shelly and my access point is about 5 meters and in the same room, so I'm not going to install repeaters.
However... I did notice that the wifi signal is pretty weak(-75 dBm). Maybe it's time for a different antenna
Hi,
I already put a reply in an other topic for the shelly 1, but now that I found this one I'll also reply here...
Shelly 1 topic: SHELLY 1 CONNECTION PROBLEMS
I'm having the same issues. My shelly 2.5 is unreachable after some hours/days, but I can still see it when I look at the list of wifi clients in my unifi-controller. Except that the shelly does not have an ip address.
The physical buttons still work.
When I use a static ip address it's no longer loosing it's address... at least with firmware 1.8.3 or 1.8.5.
Sadly this trick does not work with firmware 1.9.2.
Shelly config: Roller Shutter, MQTT.
Router: opnsense
AP: 2x Ubiquiti HDnano
So for now I downgraded to the 1.8.5 firmware, but it would be nice if this issue could be fixed.
I have a lot of Sonoff s20 with espurna and they all work flawless.

Shelly config highlights: Roller Shutter, MQTT so no cloud!
