I have also WiFi connection issues, but only when a external BLU H&T sensor is connected.

When sensor is connected, the Wall Panel is very slow and WiFi connection is lost. HA can not connect.

    Hi mweixi,

The Wifi support is poorly designed (in my opinion). I noticed the WallDisplay drops the connection as soon as the signal strenght hits -60dBm or worse. I'm currently having a discussion with Shelly support about this issue, but they keep insisting it's my "poor" wifi signal.
I'm living in a "crowded" area, with lot's of routers all working on the 2.4GHz wifi. You can imagine the Tx/Rx retires is higher than average. Funny thing, none of my Wifi devices (including multiple Shelly Plug S devices) are having connection problems. And their distance to the AP is much further than the the distance of my WallDisplay to the AP.
I'm still hoping they can fix this Wifi issue with a firmware update, but if it's a hardware issue, then we're stuck with it.

I don't think I can give you advice on poor Wi-Fi (2.4GHz) connectivity. Regarding the HA blank screen, did you try pressing the HA button on the display twice to refresh (I guess you did, though it is worth to mention ) ? The first time I set up HA I got into the black screen. The double press did help.

    Cheers,

    Daniel

    Hi Daniel,
thanks for the reply. I also read about the double tap. And I can confirm it works. I have a huge amount of sensor in HA, all on one page which I rarely use (just the collect everything page). But with the initial setup, this was the page the WallDisplay tried to load. And that took "ages". I then move to the specific WallDisplay panel I created, and it's running OK now.

    Thanks daniel.leteyski,
after a while, the display started behaving strangely again. It was incredibly slow to respond. I took the display off the wall, connected it to the USB-C port, and performed another factory reset. And miraculously, it worked as expected. Fast, without any hiccups. I was also able to perform the firmware upgrade.
Now I have two issues to resolve:
    1) The Wall Display's Wi-Fi connection (2.4GHz) drops at a signal strength of -60dBm or worse. It reconnects at -44dBm or better. I'm currently investigating what I can do about this. I have over 40 Wi-Fi clients, in a busy neighborhood, with a lot of other people. So there's a lot of interference on the 2.4GHz band.
    2) I can no longer install Home Assistant. After entering the URL, a blank, black screen appears. And there's no change.

I've also sent an email to Shelly in the meantime. Their response: the panel works fine, your network and HA are terrible (my shortened version of their answer). I rarely have problems with Wi-Fi devices, including Shelly's, on my 2.4 GHz band. They all work flawlessly, with the occasional minor issue. And HA has been working perfectly for years, on a tablet, various mobile phones, and my PC. That's not the problem.

To be continued, shall we say...

More or less the same problem; no wifi after FW upgrade. Very disappointing. I have a lot of other Shelly devices, all connected to the same Wifi network. No issues with them.
Shelly fix your FW, and tell me how to update my device now that I'm disconnected from the internet (No OTA update)

Update: Factory reset WallDisplay. Looks like it's back. Not sure if I should update the FW .
