yes in this case I would follow strictly the wiring scheme of fig1, where terminal I is connected to the live wire.

Hence, according to what we are saying, the wiring scheme in fig1 should be the best one, since in this case you avoid

completely any extra dissipation during button pushes, am I right? Is there any other side effect I am missing?

yes understood, all my step-by-step relays, which I want to replace, are driven by push buttons.

Just for curiosity: swapping L and N (fig1) is 100% safe apart being not really "clean"?

I would like to replace a step-by-step relay (finder step-by-step relay mode. 27.01)

and the actual wiring in my house is exactly as shown in the attached spec sheet of the relay

(see "Schema di Collegamento" in the file Sere27_adimpulsi_10A_IT.png), i.e.the button is connected to A2 (input) of the relay and to neutral (N).

I found in another thread of this forum two possible solutions which are illustrated in the attached files called sol1.png and sol2.png

What is the most recommended/preferred? I am incline to adopt sol2.png since I do not like the idea to swap L and N, do you agree?

Dear all,

I am in the same situation, i.e. I need to replace a step-by-step relay (finder step-by-step relay model 27.01) with a shelly 1 mini gen 3 or a shelly 1 gen4
and the current wiring in my house is exactly as shown in the spec sheet of the relay, i.e. the 3 buttons to are connected the input of the finder step-by-step relay and to neutral (N). Since I can not rewire the buttons, I have to adopt one of the solutions proposed here. Anyway,
what is the most recommended/preferred? I am inclinded to use the scheme in Fig. 2 since I do not like the idea to reverse L and N, do you agree?
