    Hi there,


    I've just had a new 3 phase supply and consumer unit fitted here in the UK. My electrician is coming back to finish and potentially want to get him to fit some of the Shelley Pro 3EM to monitor energy. I've attached photo of inside CU for ref.

    Initially I want to buy one for monitoring the 3 phase heat pump and also a separate one to monitor a few of the single phase circuits. I'd read some slightly contradictory things on the wiring, so hoping for some clarification: -

    Do I need to install a new dedicated 3 phase MCB to power the Shelley device itself. Then it's just a case of putting clamps around the Live terminals coming out of ASHP?


    Similarly, if I'm using a pro 3em to monitor multiple single phase MCBs, just a single phase MCB to power it and then use the 3 clamps to clamp to 3 difference circuits?
