unfortunately, that's not it. The Shelly.GetConfig API call does not take any parameters.

It does return "name" but without a value.

Same for the Sys.GetConfig API call.

Making an API request direct to the Pro3M on my local network gives a response that includes

"name": null

Call: GET http://192.168.1.11/rpc/Shelly.GetConfig

The Pro3M firmware is up to date.

The Shelly app displays the device's name.
