I configured successfully one BLU Motion and installed it next to the staircase to detect when someone wants to walk up the stairs. Setup worked fine and I can visualize the notifications in the app.
My problem is that BLU motion does not detect many times the person in front of it.
Only very quick moves coming into its view region trigger the motion notification (long red flash). Generally speaking, BLU motion detects something in front of it whenever someone walks by, but it only flashes shortly. The long flash (motion detection) is rarely triggered. The detector is located approximately 1,8m high and 1m away from the person, so distance should not be a matter.
I have tried changing the sensitivity of the motion detection to high, but then it started reporting motion even when there was nobody there. Even worse, the light amount reported was enormously high (tens of thousands instead of hundreds). I upgraded the firmware as well without any improvement. I tried with the debug mode (pressing twice the button) but I could not figure out anything. When doing all these tests, I took into account that it would not send any signal during the blind time (30 seconds).
Am I doing something wrong, or is there anything else I could try?
