Hi,
which Shelly 0-10V dimmer do i need to pick if i want to control a Mean Well ELG LED driver?
Despite having some background in electronics, I find all the information somewhat confusing.
Looking into the details of the Gen2 and Gen3 0-10V dimmers, it says Gen2 = current sinking and Gen3 = current sourcing
Looking at the documentation of the meanwell dimming methods, it says that the controling device can be passive (voltage divider i assume), active (0-10V) or PWM. Also there is a mention of the driver sourcing 0.1mA of current.
https://www.meanwell.eu/ExclusivePDF/DIMMING-NOTE.pdf
Now what does that mean exactly. If i assume the driver is sourcing 0.1mA i would conclude that i need the Shelly Gen2 which is current sinking.
On the other hand if i assume that the driver is controlled by an active dimming device and the dimmer would provide the 0-10V, wouldn't that mean the dimmer would provide the current as well? So then it'd be the Shelly Gen3?
Does somebody use one of the 0-10V dimmers with a Mean Well ELG driver? Or can somebody point me to a straight-forward and well working combination?
