    On a scale from 1 to 10 in A/C electrical knowledge, I am about a 2.

I want to have my furnace blower run for 1 minute after the thermostat reaches the set temp and the flame turns off.

There are no timer relays in the circuit. And the thermostat does not have the capability to run the fan separately. If the fan is turned on at the thermostat, the flame turns on also, even if it is set to No Heat. So, the analog circuitry automatically turns on the flame whenever the blower is turned on.

    Except in one case.

It has a manual rocker switch (labeled Cont Run) that bypasses everything and just powers the blower.

My solution, (and I am way open to a different plan), is to install a Shelly 1PM in parallel with the current rocker switch so the original switch will work, but I can also remotely close the Shelly and effectively do the same thing as the rocker switch.

It is in the US, so it is 115V. The motor is 1/4 HP, which I think means that the motor pulls about 6 amps. I assume twice that during startup. (Is that a good assumption?)

I have attached some pictures showing the schematic and the actual internals.

There are two wires, the power and the "return".

I think I need to "tap" into the orange wire and the red wire going to the blower motor with the Shelly.

The red wires look pretty thick, so I want to make sure I have the correct Shelly.

    1. Is my plan to "tap" into the orange and red wire going to blower correct?
    2. What is the best recommended way to do this?
    3. Is the Shelly 1PM the correct one?
