I’m trying to get notifications from a washer & dryer when they have finished a complete cycle and I am monitoring power use with connected 1PM’s.
I have setup a scene to do this and notify me when power use is at the completion value which less than 2W. The problem is that at various points in the washing or drying cycles the power use also dips below the 2W threshold so I’m sent notifications before the cycle is compete. I need to be able to create a scene that will only notify me if the power use is less than 2W for a period of say 5 minutes.
There is a scene option to delay the notification but I can’t see how to monitor & report a threshold for period of time.
Is this possible using scenes with the standard Shelly App ?.

I had a similar issue when I installed the 1L and the bypass at the switch. In my case I resolved it by moving the bypass into the light fitting placing it between switched live & neutral.
-
I have updated to 1.9.4 and as far as I can tell mine is working ok.
-
Tech support have responded to my request as follows :-
Dear Sir/Madam,
We are aware of the issue, developers are already into the issue.
Soon it will be resolved, but it will take some time.
Apologies for the inconvenience caused.
Kind regards,
Shelly Support Team

I have created a ticket - ref T-20050123.
Thank you

The IOS app has been fixed but I still have the issue from the first post in this thread - Button 1 won’t trigger scenes while powered only by its battery.
-
I have the exactly the same issue as detailed in my post on 6th Dec. On battery the button works ok to trigger single devices by url but won’t trigger scenes unless plugged into usb power. Not convinced its a sleep issue as it occurs as soon as the button is unplugged so doubt it has time to go to sleep.
-
The December version IOS version of the Shelly App seems to have removed to ability to create new or edit existing scenes that are invoked from a Button 1. I have created a support ticket and they acknowledged the issue (so presumably they will fix it) but have suggested for now I use url commands.
This works for other Shelly devices but is somewhat limiting.
-
I can get my Shelly button 1 to trigger a Shelly relay from a url setup from within the app, this works fine if the button is connected to either power or battery.
I can get the button 1 to trigger a scene (setup
within the app) which works ok when connected to power. However, as soon as I disconnect the button from power and use battery, the button does not trigger scenes.
What I’m I doing wrong please ?.
I’ve tried the latest current & beta firmware both give the same results.

Thanks Sorefeet, It took a while, but now it seems that the sensor reports the data every hour. I had to set the temperature and humidity threshold to 0.5.
Thanks so much
If you look the log you will probably find it’s reporting more frequently than every hour. It’s just that the 24hr reporting graph just plots a value every hour. Depending on the location you may even want to increase values to reduce the reporting intervals.

I think there will be a solution soon
Excellent news ?

Hi Olsche,
Thank you for your quick response, very helpful video & I have it working now. It’s easy when you know how ?.
It’s unfortunate there is a limit of 3 Alexa notifications on each account I think I could easily use more.
-
I’ve tried to setup a Scene using notify on Alexa for a (flood sensor) but when I trigger the scene nothing happens, is there a guide anywhere ?.
In the ‘Do’ part of the scene it says ‘send notification with Alexa Home Assistant’. Does this mean I also need Home Assistant for a Shelly device to send a notification to Alexa ?.
I was expecting to be able to add a message for the notification within the ‘Do’ setup. There is a section where it looks like a message should go but it does not let me enter any text.

Check that the humidity threshold change has been applied (it may not have saved properly).
The other thing you could try is a factory reset. A note of caution though:- when I reset one of mine I had some difficulty setting it up again in the app. I’m not sure what the issue was but I had to use the web interface IP (192.168.33.1). Once setup it worked in the app fine.
I still get the sensor connects too slowly error though.....
-
I have lowered the temperature & humidity thresholds to .5 in the sensor settings and they report fairly regularly. I’m assuming this will increase battery use in the longer term but so far the battery’s all still report 100%

Thanks for responding, As you say the values are being transmitted ok. If there is nothing I can do to stop it I’ll ignore it for now.

I’ve been running 4 Shelly H&T’s for several months now without any problems. More recently when I look at the sensor data within the app I see an error on all of them stating :- ‘This sensor connects too slowly, check your network settings or signal strength’
The Wi-Fi strength in Device Information on them all is either excellent or good and as far as I know none of my network settings have changed. If I clear the error by swiping right it intermittently comes back. Operation of the H&T sensor seems ok and they report data as intended. Is there anything I can do to stop the message occurring ?

I've also just noticed there is an IOS widget specifically for Shelly sensors and I can view them all together there
-
Thanks for responding. As far as I can see my best option is to arrange my dashboard with the 4 rooms containing H&S sensors at the top of the list so I can see them all together.
