Okay, thanks I’ve done that. Connected to the dimmer as an AP and wired according to the diagram above. I’ve also watched a few YouTube’s…. But now my wall switch does not respond as a normal switch.
The wall switch in the OFF position, does not turn the lights off. Flicking the switch on the wall turns off the lights one out of every 10 of the time, and very slowly. What can I do?
Thank you for the confirmation! For first time installation & testing — to make sure the wall switch works, do I have to have the app running? Or can I just test it that the wall switch works and turns the lights ON & OFF like normal (without the app)?
If I use this wiring diagram does it turn my wall switch into a smart wall switch? Meaning that even if the wall switch turns OFF, power will remain to the module and I can use the app to turn the lights ON again?
Thank you thgoebel I think I misunderstood the product then. I thought it was supposed to turn all switches into smart switches. So I didn’t have to worry about people accidentally turning the switch off.
But anyway, so the light won’t even turn on, unless I setup the app first?
- The AC wall switch cannot not turn the LED on or off anymore.
- The Shelly module blinks green.
What is wrong?
Do I need to use WiFi to setup the module first, or will the AC wall switch continue to work as normal without any setup?
Because right now my wall switch is not turning on or off my LED strip anymore when I have the module attached according to the wiring diagram I sent. I thought the AC wall switch would continue to function as a regular wall switch.

The power is 220V AC. The thingy is the little strip that came in the box. The LED strip is only white colour.
At the moment, the wall switch now no longer works, the LED strip it does not turn on or off, but the Shelly has a green light. Am I supposed to use an app? I assumed I can still use the wall switch the same way.
In terms of wiring, is there something they/l am missing? Any guidance would be sooooo crazy appreciated.
