for the shelly it makes no difference, if you swap L and N.
More interesting is the load you want to switch, hope, it is not to big.
Thanks for your answer - the load is 2400w and 220v - it should not give any problems...

Hi,
I'm new to Shellies and have a newbie question. What will happen if I accidently switch L and N on input ? Will it smoke and become dead by stupidity ?
Thing is that I use my shelly with a male connector in the input end and a female connector in the other end. I live in a very old house with no possibility to
build the shelly into the wall plug. So I use the next best solution - an extra cord extension between wall plug and the heater.
Problem will occur if I move the heater and shelly to a wall plug with switched polarity. All wall plugs should be same polarity but in an old house.... If I
forget to measure the right polarity BEFORE plugging into another wall plug - I might end up in trouble, or ?
