    I installed two 2.5s yesterday - one working fine, the other acting strangely, loosing WiFi connection

    • checked
      • cables - power connections seem fine
      • Router (Fritzbox) sees the device
      • However, ping drops lots of packets (~95% package loss, hardly ever two consecutive packages)
    • disconnected, connected to just a power cable and moved closer to router
      • same situation

    Trying to reset to AP via the reset button does also not seem to work ...

    Is there any way I can go ahead short of replacing the device?

    Hi, I have a similar issue. 2 Shellys 2.5 that every now and then are disconnected from the Wifi. In those cases, they are not available neither from the app nor from a browser directly to the fixed IP. My routers are Asus in a wifi Mesh configuration. The only thing that improved the frequency of disconnections was to downgrade the firmware to version 1.8. Apart from that, to reconnect them, I just change the wifi 2.4 network channel and that forces the reconnection. No need to reset the Shellys.

    Hope this helps you a little bit. Also, if anyone knows how to get rid of the disconnections for good, please share it :)

    As I posted in another thread about a stuck firmware update (which finally completed), One of my Shelly 1 devices struggles to stay connected to WiFi. I also have an Asus Mesh router system and I tried binding the device to each of the nodes, or just letting it auto-roam. Nothing seems to help it stay connected for more than a few hours.

    Are there any settings to tweak on the Shelly device within the Internet configuration?
