Shelly UNI push Button with DC

  • New to the Shelly world and I bought a few of these UNI devices to do some experimentations

I have a 24V DC powered led based lighting system in my house so all the push buttons that are currently used to drive the dimmers are DC-based, I noticed that the documentation of the Pushbutton doc mentions AC only, so the on-off mode (simple push) does not seem to work correctly when I put the Shelly UNI between the dimmer and the pushbuttons. (IN 1)

any idea how this might be put to work?

  • Could it be that one system is switched with +24VDC and the other one with -24VDC?

I’m sure some of the pros will have the solution quickly, or at least a diagnose...

    Best,

    Georg

  • I’m not sure but do not think so, the lamp is switchable through the Shelly UI, (I have that working) but the physical input from the push buttons, that is now done through a ground connection toggle with the existing dimmers directly does not work on the input lines of the UNI.

The doc only has a push button with AC 12-24V, but I do not have any AC in the circuitry

  • bei DC ist unter Verwendung eines Schalters (kein Taster) aber dennoch ein Widerstand R1 nötig? Hast du schon einen brauchbaren definieren können´bei 12V und 24V DC?

Try this, still not sure if that’s what it is that prevents your installation from working the way it’s supposed to but hopefully it helps.
