I'll preface this by saying that I'm a 100% newbie when it comes to home automation, so I apologize in advance.
I have a ceiling light that is controlled via remote and wall switch.
I would like to connect it via SHELLY 2.5, so that I can have the same functions as the remote control via alexa as well.

But is not possible atleast power it on and off through alexa? Can't the Shelly be used as a "passthrough" ?
And wouldn't be possible to use the Shelly RGBW2 as a controller instead of the built in ? (the white box)
on/off like a switch yes, that would be possible, but the rest you have to do with the remote.
Than you need only a shelly1 and put it behind the switch (when there is a neutral)
Otherwise show your current wiring and we can take a look if it is possible
Maybe try posting a sharper pic of the lamp details so we can see if maybe the controls of your lamp can indeed be replaced with an RGBW2 after all - but that would most likely have to be done by someone with electric experience, if it’s possible at all.
