Shelly 1 doesn't connect to WiFi anymore

  • I have a Shelly 1 in a Shelly Button. It worked perfectly, until I had to remove power for a short period while getting the Christmas lights in order.

    Now it can't connect to WiFi anymore.

    I tried resetting it to factory defaults (power off/on and then press the button 5 times) and then I can connect to the AP (tried both via web interface and via the Shelly app). As soon as I enter my own Wifi details and save, it won't connect to the network.

    I had a fixed IP set in my router based on the MAC address, but I removed all settings connected to the Shelly, so that shouldn't be a problem.

    Wifi of the Shelly works when it is in AP mode, so that should also not be the problem. Wifi connection is fine at the location of the Shelly.

    Any suggestions?

  • No, but when I was logged in now, it seems to have solved itself.

    The Shelly was connected to the network now.

    I've been working on this whole yesterday evening, and now it seems to have solved itself :)

  • Problem is back. I was able to enable MQTT again and update the firmware.

    But after I changed the settings in my router again to give it the fixed IP, it didn't connect after a the restart.

    Removed the settings again, powered the Shelly off and on and also rebooted the router, but I don't see it yet.

    Maybe tomorrow again.. :/

  • Any success? I am having a similar issue, except my Shelly 1PM is new. On the Android app, I go to Add Device, enter WiFi details, select the new device to be added and click Include Devices. It then search and finds the device. I click Connect, the phone changes wifi connection the Shelly and then it just hangs with the message "Inclusion Connecting To Shelley1PM-{id}". I've tried leaving it trying to connect for a couple of hours, but nothing happens.
