How to connect a (reed) switch / button on a UNI

Dear all ,

I have bought some Shelly devices and installing as we speak the UNI. I would like to use a switch to controll something in Homeseer.

Let's say a simple doorbell, a push button. How do I connect it, I would say:

-connected to 12 V DC

-on pin 7 or 8 one side of the switch

-on the other side ground.

If this is correct , how do I see the change in the GUI, for example the webbrowser. I only have 2 relays and the ADC voltage. no other inputs.

Anyone can help?

@Olsche , Thank you for taking the time.

-I have now connected pin 7 to one side of the switch.

-the other side of the switch is connected to the + of the power supply which also powers the UNI (12V DC).

When I press the button , nothing happends. Sould I see a change in the GUI somewhere? where ?

I do have Channels 1 & 2 , but those are the outputs , they are working fine. I am talking about the inputs.

I connected a small led to output/relay 1 and when I press the button on then GUI in the webbrowser the light goes on, that part is working fine.

The question is for the input. I expect , that when I press the switch/button (Pin 7 is than connected to the + of the 12VDC ) something happens on the GUI.

Or are you saying the input (pin7) is internally wired to the output relay 1 ?
