How to configure one Shelly1 as a receiver and another as a transmitter?

  • Hi to all,

I have a Shelly1 as a door opener in my new video doorbell installation, controlled by Amazon Alexa:

Recently, I have seen a connection scheme in which one Shelly acts as a receiver and another as a transmitter (Shelly1 mounted on a Shelly Button) but I have not found any explanation except the brief comment that appears in the figure:

    I have two doubts:

    a) Where can I find information on the interconnection of a receiving Shelly and one or more transmitting Shellys?

    b) I need to purchase at least 3 other Shellys but I have not been able to know the differences between Shelly1 and Shelly1V3 and, therefore, which one would be the most suitable for my design?

Thank you for your attention and your time.

  • Thanks, SebMai.

Please, another question. Using a Shelly as a "Switchable Socket" Transmitter, Can I to use the pins "0" and "I" as a relay to power a 220VAC LED Lamp or these pin are useless? (I have read the DDD document and i have doubts).

    Thanks

    Hi, SebMai,

Excuse my terrible English, what I'm really doing is a momentary switch to turn a Shelly1 into an illuminated transmitter to operate a gateway (equipped with another Shelly1 as a receiver). I intend to have up to 3 points with an illuminated Shelly1 transmitter.

I have a momentary pushbutton equipped with a circular LED and I want to connect it to a Shelly so that it performs the following functions:

Momentary push button OFF, LED ON (so the box is visible even in the dark)

Momentary button ON, LED OFF (this makes it clear that the button has been pressed)

For this I would need pins "0" and "I" to act together with the "SW" terminal. (Alexa would only serve to accept spoken commands).

(I think the connections in the diagram are correct).

I will be grateful if you can confirm that the Shelly1 can function as a transmitter and an LED switch, simultaneously. (Switch and LED are set to 220VAC)
