Lights not dimming enough

  • Hi

Has anyone else found that the shelly dimmer 2 doesn't dim their lights low enough? I'm pretty sure my old dimmers, before home automation could dim the lights a lot lower.

I have GU10 LED globes and my dimmer 2 are connected to N. I have noticed this on most lights around the house, some better than others.

Is there anything that can be done to get the lights to dim lower?

    Regards

    Rich

  • I've seen this when calibrated against a different set of lights initially. My issue was anything between 50-100% was 100%, so control was unusable. My steps to resolve were:

    1. Calibrate

    2. Reboot

    3. Calibrate

The "reboot" step seems to help the device do a proper re-calibration against a different load.

  • Same problem and I have calibrated repeatedly (trailing edge), trying different firmware versions. I have had my defective dimmers replaced and now I can calibrate successfully (great!). Using 4x Philips 536730 dimmable warm glow LED bulbs.

I have to set the minimum brightness around ~30%, that can't be right, can it?
