Switching delay

    I have just installed a Shelly 2.5 as a switch for two lights in my kitchen.

    It works fine using the physical switches but there is sometimes a long delay (5 seconds or more) when using the Shelly app or Alexa between the command and the actual state change of the lights.

    It seems to me that the issue may be related to the Shelly cloud since the response is immediate when I use the Shelly local web interface (direct connection to the Shelly using a web browser).

    My Internet connection works fine and with other IOT devices such as Sonoffs I have never had such long response times.

    Any suggestions ?

    Cloud-based applications can always have time delays.

    That is the nature of the matter. How long the delay is depending on various factors such as the current cloud load and the speed of the Internet connection.
