I have connected the Shelly 1 perfectly as per the manual, I'm able to On/Off through the app, however the physical switch does not work anymore now. Wether device is on or off the physical switch does not toggle anything and I have to use the app itself. Is there any solution ?

Which Button-Mode is activated? 
I tried all modes, even edgemode its still not working 
Also Button Type - When i select Edge switch - I get an error cannot select Edge switch when default mode is set to Switch
same for me , switching by the app always work but nothing happen when i use SW relay , i have done many factory reset for nothing ! i think my Shelly 1 is dead ? i have ordered new one .....

is there a small light inside your switch?
How did you connect the Shelly?
Phase L -> Shelly L
Neutral -> Shelly N
Phase L -> Switch -> Shelly SW
?
What is the setting in "Power on default mode"?
Is your switch a push button or a switch with on/off position?
