How to create a new topic

How do I create a new topic, a new post or ask a question here in the forum?

1. Select the FORUM tab in the left-hand side column.

2. Select subcategory, here e.g. SHELLY SUPPORT GERMAN, select the appropriate post / topic, here e.g. the corresponding Shelly:

3. Now click on "+ Create Thread" on the respective opened page in the upper area:

4. In order to CREATE a THEME, some additional information have to be entered:

Thread Status:

• Default - to use for "normal" use
• Pinned - is reserved for moderators and administrators. Subject remains top priority in the respective subcategory -> important topic
• Announcement - is reserved for moderators and administrators to announce firmware updates or Shelly updates

Informations:

• Select language: German or English
• Title - short concise title question
• Tags - "Tags" / "Label" -> e.g. Shelly 1PM, WiFi, Alexa, ...; Link to the corresponding keyword
• Publish topic at a later date:
  

1. If the topic / contribution can not be fully summarized due to complexity, you can check the box here. After completion, remove the hook.
2. Optionally, you can set a date here for which the topic / post should be published automatically.

5. Message

In the lower text field, the topic / the post / question can now be created.

6. Publish:

• PREVIEW - Before you publish the topic / the contribution you can use the PREVIEW and check your thread .
• Submit - Click Submit to post.
