Shelly App over VPN

  • Hi All,

    I've started using Shelly switches and everything is working fine. They are configured to connect to my home network, no mqtt, no cluod configured.

    I'm able to control switches from the Shelly App (even if sometimes I found "device disconnected" for a few seconds). Unfortunately the App indicates "Device disconnected" when I'm using the VPN to connect my phone to home network.

    The VPN seems not be the problem since the Shelly devices are reachable through their web interface; only the App has show this problem. Can anyone help ?

    PS: all devices are updated to the last released firmware.

  • Searching deeper the forum I've found a similar question with workaround; I've downloaded the Shelly Home App and and it seems to work from that.

    Anyway, If any expert can point me the root cause, It will be nice to know.
