Shelly 1 and MQTT hookup

    Dear all,

    I'm new in the world of MQTT and read a lot about this protocol, but there is something that i can't understand.
    Perhaps i'm thinking to difficult.

    I have a Shelly-1 with V1.7 as firmware.
    I can connect to the local wifi, and can switch it with the pushbutton in the web interface.
    Now i want to take it a step further, and try to communicate with the MQTT protocol.

    So i fill in the appropriate fields in the module, like Shelly's MQTT server adress, portnumber, username and password etc.
    I can't fill in anything else.

    Now.

    I have MQTT Explorer, and try to connect to the module using the modules IP adress etc.
    But somehow i can't connecting to it. It say's disconnected from server. MQTT Explore act's as a broker?

    Who can set me on the right track?

    Hab' das nun schon ein paar Mal beobachtet, das User plötzlich die Sprache wechseln. Der Sinn erschließt sich mir nicht?
