  • Dear all,

I recently replaced four old halogen light dimmers in my house by two Shelly Pro Dimmer 2PM's.
These are used to power 4 light groups in the living room, each controlled by a dedicated light switch (= "momentary switch" / "push button").
I wired everything up according to the official wiring diagram below (in my case only SW1 and SW3 are used):

Everything works perfectly fine through the Shelly App. However, sadly two of the physical buttons are not working correctly: Sometimes these button presses are detected, but sometimes not. These are the two buttons which are the furthest away from the breaker box, with the longest wiring distance. I already verified the settings of the dimmer, but do not notice anything different in terms of software configuration or electrical wiring, compared to the dimmer outputs which work correctly.

I'm starting to wonder whether the stray capacitance of the wires themselves could be a factor here? If so, what should I do to fix the issue?
I found another thread on the Shelly forum which sounds very similar to my issue, even though it relates to another product:
