Shelly Wall Display Stuck On Logo (will not reboot) NO loading message

  • I have a Shelly wall display installed and it was working great. I came to use it yesterday and I saw the Shelly Logo stuck on the screen. The screen is unresponsive.

    I have powered off and back on, same issue. I then deleted the item from the Shelly App (for android) and I cannot add the shelly back to my home kit.

    It has been over an hour and the logo remains, and as mentioned, there is no 'loading' message and there never is.

    How do I perform a factory reset or do I need to send it back and forget it altogether... this kit appears to be quite poor when I searched for help online!

  • Without the loading message, it will be difficult with the factory reset, because it works like this:

    When booting and you see "Loading. Please wait..." under the "Shelly Wall Display" logo, you have 2 seconds to touch on the logo 5 times. Then the Factory Reset dialogs will appear. It's probably necessary to briefly disconnect the power supply for a full reboot.
