Hello All , i am thinking of getting Shelly motion sensor , but i don't want to have to worry about battery life.
Does the motion sensor work without them ? always connected to a power source.

Should work,
but wether this is good for the rechargeable battery?
if we remove the battery will it power at least? i wanted to know if it could be bypassed having batteries
Edit:
I have a "junction" box on the wall i wanted the sensor to be in , and if i could use it without the batteries i would buy it right away i want to turn off every unwanted standby in that room when ever someone is not there
if we remove the battery will it power at least?
Sorry, I don't know
If you want a motion detector, you could use a standard intruder alarm one (typically powered by 12 v) Measure the output when it is 'activated' and connect the device to the appropriate inputs of a UNI or Shelly 1 - There are several examples on the web of people who have done this (some with mains PiR - hence the Shelly1)
That said, I can't think of any reason why replacing the battery with a permanent supply wouldn't work in theory (try it at your own risk of course)
