Dear all,
I am using many RGBW2 devices in color type (RGBW LED strips) and White type (4 white LED strips) and all I will describe below I have tried with many firmwares but in all of them behaviour is same. Wiring is same as manual of RGBW2 is showing so dont need to post here...
and in all of them I used RGBW2 input
Setup as momentary:
And by this input button I am able to On (short push) and Off (short push) and Dim (long push UP and Down).
I have 2 questions regarding dimming by switch behaviour :
1. In RGBW2 (color mode, I have connected RGBW LED strip) input I can dim by long push (up and down) all is working to me but if I have some color and want to dim up it is increasing color brightnes but also white channel brightnes ? Is that correct? Why it is not increasing only color without white ? Is it possible to change?
Maybe is not clear my question so here is detailed description of this behaviour:
I have rgbw2 and rgbw led strip set in shelly app red color 30% and white channel 0%. I short push button (on rgbw2 input) led strip light on as set red color 30% and white channel 0%.If I push button and keep pushing now, red color go up to 100% but also white channel go from 0% to 100% also.I release button now and both are 100% red and white.
I push button again and keep pushing and same scenario but opposite red go down to 0% and same white go down to 0%.
I will never come back to 30% red color and 0% white by button so I have to open shelly app and setup it again...
So me question is why is white channel dimming also and why it is not dimming only red color please?
2. In RGBW2 (White mode, I have connected 4 white LED strips) input I can dim by long push (up and down) all is working to me but why it is dimming all 4 white LED strips. There is no way to setup that RGBW2 input switch will controll only channel1 or channel1 and channel 2 for example please?
I have tried to change button type to detached but if I change it in channel1 for example it change in all 4 channels.
Is that working same way to you please?
Many thanks for each reply and help.
