Hi, I would like to submit my application for your considerations and suggestions.
An alarm control unit requires to manage an input from DOWN to UP with a voltage of 12VDC to arm its and to communicate its status armed with 12VDC.
This is an alarm control unit which changes its status, armed / disarmed, every time the input passes from DOWN to UP; when it is armed it returns a voltage of 12VDC between the output and a GND present on its board.
As for the Shelly 1 I moved the jumper to be able to use a 12VDC power supply and I set the "Detached Switch" mode as the button type, so that the SW input had nothing to do with the O output.
When I activate the SW input, I see the vertical line in the output power-on symbol which turns blue on web page
I add that the display is different on the app, in order to view the input status it is necessary to check the writing "Add the input status identifier to the power button" located in the Application Settings menu - Display of Input Status; in this way, a horizontal line appears, under the output switch-on symbol, red without 12VDC signal and green with 12VDC signal.
At this point, in order to use only on its rising edge, from DOWN to UP, it is necessary that when I have executed the command I can understand through the input that the control unit has changed state and this reset the output.
I have not found a way to be able to command the output for a certain time (for example 500 ms)
So I took advantage of the invocation of URL commands from I / O actions, using BUTTON SWITCHED ON and OFF to which I associated the path http: // localhost / relay / 0? Turn = off which resets the output of the local device (replacing localhost with the IP of another device on the network, other devices can be controlled).
In this way, when I command to arm the control unit with the Shelly 1 output, the same receives the signal of the armed control unit and resets the output (like handshake)
Subsequently, with the control unit armed, by commanding the output of Shelly 1 the control unit will return disarmed, removing the SW input from Shelly 1 which will also reset the output of Shelly 1 in this case.
The solution I found is certainly at the limit of the possibilities of this device, which still amazed me.
What I miss now and I consider it necessary is to be able to see the status of the input SW from the outside, in my case I would like that with a device like Alexa I can see this input.
At the moment I have not succeeded, I do not know if it can be done, but above all I do not know if my current knowledge can lead me to a solution that I can apply.
