Dimmer2 says it doesn't need to update

Hi, just bought a new Shelly Dimmer 2. According to HomeAssisant, the firmware in the dimmer is too old. So i need to update it.

Dimmer says:

The current Firmware version of your Shelly device is 20200629-130515/release-1.7@28744b8b No newer firmware available.

This is not true though, i see newer firmwares on this forum.

My Shelly1 v3 switch had no problem with updating at all !

how do i solve this ?

Found it, had to go to "internet settings" and then "connect it to the cloud."

This is odd, the Shelly1v3 switch does NOT need this setting to update it's firmware.

I say it's a discrepancy between the devices that makes this rather confusing.
