GU10 RGBW inaccessible

  • Hi everyone,

I have bought two Duo RGBW GU10 and both suffer from the exact same problem: I am unable to have them work in my wifi network. Have tried factory reset both several times, but the situation remains the same - I configure each to connect to my Wifi network (via the AP network after factory reset), and even though the wifi network name and IP address is displayed (which means it has switched to the wifi network), I am unable to access the device.

    Some data:

    - the two are ~50cm from my Wifi access point

    - configuration was done via the IOS application (AP Scan, add); have also tried with my laptop going to the default 192.168.33.1 address

    - have tried having them obtain the IP address via DHCP and also with static IP address

After the configuration save, the Wifi network name and IP address are displayed; I connect my laptop / iphone to the home wifi network and I am unable to:

    - ping any of them

    - access their UI/web interface

    Any help, please?
PS: I am using the "turn off/on 5 times" factory reset procedure.

PS2: my wifi has currently 12 devices (so, vrey far from reaching limits), and it's a 1 month old Wifi equipment

    Thank you,

  • Hi Ricardo,

I think I had the same problem - then I discovered that the bulbs had to be "found" by the shelly app first (by adding new fevice by AP scan).

Once the app had added it, it became visible and accessible via IP.

    Regards, Klaas

  • Hello,

again all three got blue after some hours without electrical connection (wall switch off).

They are all accessible via AP, but I am getting tired of re-integrating again and again.

I have changed to "stupid" bulbs again, at least they cannot disappoint in this way.

  • My 2 GU10 RGBW bulbs exibit the same problem, after some time without power they lose their wifi settings and turn blue when connected to power.

I think there is a problem with the firmwar not storing the Wifi credentials in non-volitile memory (i.e. only keeping it in RAM not in Flash memory and tus losing all data when powered off by the wallswitch disconnecting power.
